Air Fryer Chicken Skewers

Quick and flavorful air fryer chicken skewers that are perfect for busy weeknights.

  • 1 lb chicken thighs, cut into 2” pieces
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ¼ tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 tbsp salted butter
  • 1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley (plus more for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken: In a large bowl, toss your chicken thigh pieces with all the spices—garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, turmeric, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Add butter and garlic: In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and stir in the minced garlic until fragrant (about 1-2 minutes).
  3. Prepare the skewers: Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto soaked wooden skewers or metal skewers.
  4. Preheat the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Air fry the skewers: Lightly brush the skewers with avocado oil, then place them in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Glaze with garlic butter: Once done, transfer the skewers to a serving plate and drizzle the warm garlic butter over the top.

Serve with lemon wedges and a refreshing salad, or pair with a yogurt sauce for extra flavor.
