Apple Cobbler

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel, core, and slice the apples, then toss them into a large mixing bowl. Add the sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon, and mix well. Allow it to sit for about 10 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir until incorporated. Add the melted butter and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Pour the apple mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and evenly spread the topping over the apples.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until bubbly and golden-brown.
  6. Let cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
