Beef Crescent Squares

Savory ground beef and melty cheese wrapped in golden, flaky pastry, perfect for busy weeknights or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add your ground beef and diced onion. Season with salt and pepper and sauté until the beef is thoroughly browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the Cheese: Remove the skillet from heat and stir in your shredded cheese until melted.
  4. Roll Out the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and create a rectangular shape by pinching the seams together.
  5. Fill the Dough: Spoon the beef and cheese mixture onto the middle of the dough.
  6. Fold and Seal: Fold the edges of the dough over the filling to create a sealed pocket.
  7. Bake: Place in the oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool and Serve: Let cool for a few minutes before slicing into squares.

Notes

Serve with a fresh salad or crunchy veggie sticks. Consider a dipping sauce like ranch or garlic sauce.
