  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (such as cheddar or Gruyere)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sauté the butter in a medium saucepan and add the minced garlic, cooking until fragrant for about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Prepare the cream mixture by adding the heavy cream to the garlic, seasoning with salt and pepper, and simmering for about 5 minutes.
  4. Layer your sliced carrots in a greased baking dish, spreading them evenly.
  5. Pour the creamy garlic mixture over the carrots.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously over the top.
  7. Add optional breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
