Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta (e.g., fettuccine or penne)

  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil, add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
  2. Sear the Steak: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, add steak strips, season with salt and pepper. Sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
  3. Add Garlic: Once the steak is cooked, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Make the Cream Sauce: Pour in heavy cream and simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened slightly. Add reserved pasta water for desired consistency.
  5. Cheese It Up: Gradually stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Combine Everything: Toss cooked pasta in the sauce, adding pasta water if needed for creaminess.
  7. Plating It Up: Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute half of the heavy cream with Greek yogurt. Don’t forget to pasta water for a perfect sauce consistency.
