Apple Cheddar Quesadilla

A delightful blend of sweet apples and savory cheddar cheese in a warm tortilla, perfect for a quick snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji)
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese (shredded)
  • 2 Tortillas (flour or corn)
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your apples by removing the core and slicing them thinly (about 1/8 inch thick).
  2. Soak your apple slices in a bit of lemon juice to prevent browning.
  3. Shred or slice your cheddar cheese.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add olive oil or butter. Lay one tortilla in the skillet.
  5. Scatter a generous layer of cheese over one half of the tortilla.
  6. Place apple slices on top of the cheese, then sprinkle cinnamon if using.
  7. Fold the tortilla over to cover the filling.
  8. Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes on the other side.
  9. Remove from skillet, let cool, and slice into wedges.
  10. Serve with honey or Greek yogurt.

Notes

Serve with salsa or avocado dipping sauce for an enhanced experience.
