Crispy Chicken with Creamy Spicy Sauce over Jasmine Rice

A comforting and rich dish featuring crispy chicken paired with a creamy spicy sauce served over fragrant jasmine rice.

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup jasmine rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth or water
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Jasmine Rice by rinsing under cold water until clear, then combine with chicken broth and bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Chicken Breast by patting dry and seasoning with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Fry the Chicken in olive oil over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Make the Creamy Spicy Sauce in the same skillet by adding heavy cream and hot sauce, whisk and simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Combine the crispy chicken with the sauce, ensuring it’s well-coated.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or coconut cream. Adjust hot sauce for desired spiciness.
