  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup imitation crab meat, finely chopped
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • Water (for sealing edges)
  • Neutral oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped imitation crab meat, sliced green onions, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix everything together until well blended.
  2. Prep Your Workstation: Clear some counter space and lay out your egg roll wrappers. Keep a bowl of water nearby for sealing.
  3. Fill the Wrappers: Place a wrapper on your work surface with a corner pointing toward you. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the crab filling onto the center of the wrapper.
  4. Seal the Egg Rolls: Lift the bottom corner of the wrapper over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll it away from you to form a tight roll. Use water to seal the edge.
  5. Heat the Oil: In a frying pan or deep fryer, heat about an inch of neutral oil over medium-high heat.
  6. Fry the Egg Rolls: Once the oil is hot, add a few egg rolls at a time and fry for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Serve Up the Goodness: Place the fried egg rolls on a platter with a side of sauce for dipping.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with fillings and dipping sauces. You can also make these ahead of time and freeze them before frying.
