- 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ White Cake Mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting
- Red food coloring
- Blue food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
- Divide the batter into three bowls, adding red and blue food coloring to two, and leave the third white.
- Pour the colored batter into your prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for about 10 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
- Frost the cooled layers with frosting, layering them and frosting the sides and top.
- Decorate with fresh fruits, whipped cream, or patriotic sprinkles.
