Ham and Tater Tot Casserole

A comforting and nostalgic casserole filled with diced ham, crispy tater tots, and melty cheese, perfect for family dinners and gatherings.

  • 1 pound of ham, diced
  • 1 bag of tater tots (approximately 32 oz)
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Frozen vegetables (peas, corn, or green beans), diced onions, cooked bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish by greasing it lightly.
  3. Mix together the diced ham, frozen vegetables (if using), and diced onions in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Add the cream of mushroom soup and 1 cup of milk, stirring gently.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste and mix again.
  6. Layer the mixture in the prepared baking dish and top with a layer of tater tots.
  7. Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly on top.
  8. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
  9. Cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Feel free to customize with your favorite add-ins such as black beans for a Southwest twist or broccoli for added nutrition.
