Healthy Chicken Stir Fry Skillet

A quick and nutritious stir fry packed with protein, fresh veggies, and a savory sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Chicken Breast, sliced into bite-size pieces
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil (or avocado/sesame oil)
  • 1 cup Broccoli Florets
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper, sliced
  • 1 small Zucchini, sliced into half-moons
  • 1 medium Carrot, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup Snap Peas
  • 3 tbsp Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Honey or Maple Syrup
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Fresh Ginger, grated
  • Cooked Brown Rice or Jasmine Rice
  • Sesame Seeds and Green Onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep Your Ingredients: Slice, chop, and dice all your veggies and chicken.
  2. Heat the Pan: Pour olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the Chicken: Add chicken pieces, sear for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Sauté the Veggies: Toss in sliced carrots, followed by broccoli, zucchini, and bell pepper for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, honey (or maple syrup), sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch.
  6. Combine Everything: Return chicken to skillet, pour sauce over top, stir, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Serve the Stir Fry: Serve warm over rice, garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

Feel free to switch the protein or add more veggies for variations.
