Instant Pot Beef and Broccoli

A quick and easy recipe for Beef and Broccoli made in the Instant Pot, perfect for weeknight dinners.

  • 1 pound beef (flank steak or sirloin), sliced thinly
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the beef by slicing it thinly against the grain.
  2. Sauté the beef in the Instant Pot with vegetable oil until browned.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and cook until fragrant.
  4. Deglaze the pot with beef broth and soy sauce.
  5. Sweeten the mixture with brown sugar.
  6. Pressure cook for 10 minutes with the lid locked.
  7. Prepare the broccoli florets while cooking.
  8. Release the pressure using the quick-release method.
  9. Add the broccoli to the pot.
  10. Thicken the sauce with the cornstarch slurry.
  11. Serve over rice and enjoy!

Notes

Serve with sesame seeds or green onions for garnish. You can swap out ingredients based on your preferences or dietary needs.
