Grilled shrimp skewers drenched in a spicy and creamy Bang Bang sauce, perfect for gatherings or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined with tails left on
  • 1.5 tbsp canola oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Scallions, thinly sliced on the bias, for garnish
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tsp fresh lime juice

Instructions

  1. Prep the shrimp: Start by rinsing your shrimp under cold water and patting them dry.
  2. Marinate the shrimp: In a large bowl, toss the shrimp with canola oil, garlic powder, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Let sit for about 15 minutes.
  3. Make the Bang Bang sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and lime juice until smooth.
  4. Skewer the shrimp: Thread shrimp onto soaked wooden skewers, aiming for 4-5 shrimp per skewer.
  5. Preheat the grill: Aim for medium-high heat.
  6. Grill the shrimp: Cook skewers on the hot grill for about 2-3 minutes per side until they turn pink and slightly charred.
  7. Serve and garnish: Lay grilled skewers on a platter, drizzle with Bang Bang sauce, and garnish with scallions.

Notes
