Ultimate Kraft 7 Layer Salad

A nostalgic, colorful layered salad that’s perfect for gatherings and a staple at BBQs, offering a delightful mix of textures and flavors.

  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, chopped into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup celery, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 package (10 ounces) frozen peas, thawed
  • 6 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup Kraft mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup Miracle Whip
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked until crisp and crumbled
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients by washing and chopping the veggies.
  2. Hard-Boil the eggs and chop them once they’re cool.
  3. Crisp up the bacon either by frying or baking until crispy.
  4. Make the dressing by combining mayonnaise, Miracle Whip, and sugar.
  5. Start layering with half of the iceberg lettuce in a clear dish.
  6. Next, add the finely diced celery evenly over the lettuce.
  7. Red onions should be layered on top, followed by the peas.
  8. Egg-cellent addition of chopped hard-boiled eggs evenly over the peas.
  9. Dress it up with half of the creamy dressing over the eggs.
  10. Crumbled bacon is sprinkled on top of the dressing.
  11. Cheddar finish with shredded cheese covering everything.
  12. The final touch is a dollop of the remaining dressing on top.
  13. Chill in the fridge for at least an hour to let flavors meld.

Notes

Customize with different ingredients like feta for a Mediterranean twist or chickpeas for a vegetarian option. Best served chilled.
