Light Avocado Caprese Salad

A refreshing twist on the classic Caprese salad, featuring creamy avocado, vibrant heirloom tomatoes, and fresh mozzarella, drizzled with balsamic glaze.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Fresh Mozzarella, sliced
  • 3 Heirloom Tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 Fresh Avocado, sliced
  • 1 cup Fresh Basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp Balsamic Glaze
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients: Wash tomatoes and basil, pat tomatoes dry, and slice avocado.
  2. Slice the tomatoes into thick rounds.
  3. Slice the mozzarella into thick rounds, similar in size to tomatoes.
  4. Prepare the avocado by peeling and slicing it into wedges or cubes.
  5. Layer the salad by alternating tomatoes, mozzarella, and avocado on a serving platter.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
  7. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and olive oil.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For a Mediterranean twist, add kalamata olives or feta cheese. To keep avocados fresh, drizzle a bit of lemon juice over them.
