Maple Glazed Meatloaf

A cozy and comforting meatloaf glazed with rich maple syrup, perfect for family dinners.

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, and egg in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add 1/4 cup of maple syrup and 1/2 cup of ketchup, seasoning with salt and pepper; mix gently.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and shape it into a loaf.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the remaining maple syrup and ketchup to create a glaze.
  6. Spread the glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
  7. Bake for about 60 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  8. Rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve with creamy mashed potatoes and green beans for a complete meal. Feel free to experiment with variations, such as adding cheese or veggies.
