Scale
  • 8 all-beef hot dogs
  • 8 soft hot dog buns
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup diced red onions
  • ½ cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro leaves

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Firecracker Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sriracha, honey, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and lime juice. Stir until smooth and creamy. Taste it and adjust the spice level if needed. Set aside.

  3. Toast the buns: Split the hot dog buns and place them cut-side down on the grill. Toast until golden and slightly crispy.
  4. Assemble the hot dogs: Place a grilled hot dog in each bun and drizzle with the Firecracker Sauce.
  5. Load up the toppings: Sprinkle shredded cheese over the hot dogs, followed by diced onions, jalapeños, and cilantro.
  6. Serve and enjoy: Plate the hot dogs and serve with your favorite sides.

Notes

You can prepare the Firecracker Sauce in advance; it tastes better after sitting in the fridge for a while.
