Mint Cilantro Chutney

A vibrant and refreshing mint cilantro chutney that adds a burst of flavor to any dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh cilantro, leaves and stems (chopped)
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 fresh serrano pepper (stemmed and chopped)
  • ¼ cup red onion (chopped)
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by washing the cilantro and mint leaves thoroughly. Pat them dry, then chop roughly.
  2. Chop the red onion and serrano pepper, remembering to remove the seeds from the serrano if you prefer less heat.
  3. Blend the chopped cilantro, mint, red onion, serrano pepper, lemon juice, and salt in a food processor until finely chopped.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning, adding extra lemon juice or salt as needed.
  5. Chill the chutney in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Try adding Greek yogurt for creaminess or diced mango for a sweet twist. This chutney also freezes well for up to three months.
