  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (e.g., pecans or walnuts)
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Gather a 9×13 inch baking dish and lightly grease it.
  3. Mix the pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, sugar, eggs, and pumpkin pie spice in a mixing bowl.
  4. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish.
  5. Add the yellow cake mix evenly over the pumpkin mixture.
  6. Sprinkle chopped nuts over the cake mix layer, then pour melted butter on top.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
