  • 1 box spice cake mix
  • 2 cups fresh apple slices (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prep a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking oil or butter.
  3. Mix the pumpkin puree and apple cider in a large bowl until well blended.
  4. Layer the pumpkin mixture into the baking dish, spreading evenly across the bottom.
  5. Scatter the apple slices over the pumpkin layer.
  6. Add the spice cake mix evenly over the pumpkin and apple layers without mixing.
  7. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix layer.
  8. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
