  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1.5 cups Long-Grain White Rice
  • 3 cups Chicken Broth or Water
  • 1 cup Barbecue Sauce
  • 0.5 cup Honey
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 3 cloves Garlic

Instructions

  1. Prep Your Ingredients: Gather all your ingredients for a smooth cooking process.
  2. Sauté the Onion and Garlic: Add olive oil to a skillet, sauté onion for 2-3 minutes, then add garlic for another minute.
  3. Brown the Chicken Thighs: Push onion and garlic aside, brown chicken thighs for 5-7 minutes on each side.
  4. Add Rice and Broth: Incorporate rice, stir, add broth and bring to a simmer.
  5. Combine BBQ Sauce & Honey: Mix barbecue sauce and honey, pour over chicken and rice, stir well.
  6. Simmer Away: Cover and lower heat, let simmer for 20-25 minutes.
  7. Check for Doneness: Ensure chicken reaches 165°F and rice is tender.
  8. Rest and Fluff: Let it sit for 5 minutes, then fluff rice before serving.
