Pumpkin Maple Bacon Dump Cake

A comforting dump cake that combines the earthiness of pumpkin, the rich sweetness of maple syrup, and the savory crunch of candied bacon.

  • 1 can (about 15 oz) pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 package cornbread mix
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 46 slices candied bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare candied bacon by coating bacon slices with brown sugar and baking until crispy.
  3. Combine pumpkin puree and maple syrup in a large bowl.
  4. Add cornbread mix gradually and mix until just combined.
  5. Melt the butter and drizzle into the batter, mixing gently.
  6. Chop the candied bacon and fold half into the batter.
  7. Pour batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and top with reserved bacon.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a twist, try adding nuts, spices, or chocolate chips to the batter.
