A flavorful dish featuring tender chicken glazed in a sweet and sticky garlic sauce, tossed with noodles for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes.
  2. Coat the Chicken: In a separate bowl, toss your chicken pieces with cornstarch, ensuring each piece is nicely coated.
  3. Heat the Oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the Chicken: Once the oil is hot, carefully add in the chicken. Cook for about 5-6 minutes or until the chicken is lightly browned and cooked through.
  5. Add the Sauce: Lower the heat to medium and pour your prepared sauce over the chicken. Stir well to coat everything.
  6. Cook the Noodles: While the chicken is simmering, cook your noodles according to the package instructions.
  7. Combine Everything: Once the noodles are ready, drain them and add them to the skillet with the chicken and sauce. Toss to combine.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Top your creation with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Serve hot.
