Crazy Good Casserole

A hearty, high-protein casserole that brings comfort and nostalgia to your kitchen.

  • 3 cups cooked chicken (shredded)
  • 2 cups egg noodles (uncooked)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
  • ½ cup cooked and crumbled turkey bacon
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the noodles in a pot of boiling water according to package directions.
  3. Mix the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt in a large bowl.
  4. Add the egg noodles and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, folding gently.
  5. Layer the mixture in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbling and golden.
  7. Crunch it up by adding the remaining cheddar cheese and turkey bacon for the last 5-10 minutes.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
