Southern Peach Tea

A refreshing and nostalgic peach-infused beverage perfect for sipping on warm summer afternoons.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 black tea bags
  • 2 large ripe peaches, sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil the water in a medium-sized pot until it reaches a full boil.
  2. Brew the tea by adding the black tea bags to the boiling water and steep for 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Sweeten the tea by removing the tea bags and stirring in sugar while still warm.
  4. Add the sliced peaches to the warm tea and let them steep for a few minutes.
  5. Cool the tea by transferring it to a pitcher and refrigerating until chilled, about 1 to 2 hours.
  6. Serve by pouring the peach tea over ice and garnishing with fresh mint leaves.
