Red, White, and Blue Chocolate Chip Cookies

A festive and delicious cookie bursting with patriotic colors and chocolatey goodness, perfect for any celebration.

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup red M&Ms or red chocolate candies
  • 1/2 cup blue M&Ms or blue chocolate candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the flour and baking soda in a medium bowl and set aside.
  3. Cream the butter, sugars, and salt until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time and mix in the vanilla until combined.
  5. Combine the flour mixture gradually, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and M&Ms.
  7. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for about 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For an extra treat, dust with powdered sugar or make ice cream sandwiches!
