Strawberry Ricotta Bruschetta

A delightful appetizer that combines creamy ricotta and sweet strawberries, perfect for summer gatherings.

  • 1 French baguette, sliced into ½-inch thick rounds
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese (whole milk preferred)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, finely sliced (for garnish)
  • Balsamic glaze, to drizzle on top

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice your French baguette into rounds about ½ an inch thick.
  3. Brush each side of the baguette rounds with olive oil.
  4. Toast the bread in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Prepare the ricotta mixture by placing ricotta cheese in a bowl and stirring in honey, salt, and pepper.
  6. Chop the fresh strawberries into bite-sized pieces.
  7. Spread a generous dollop of ricotta on each toasted bread slice.
  8. Top the ricotta with chopped strawberries.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil and drizzle with balsamic glaze.
  10. Serve immediately to enjoy fresh!

Notes

Best served fresh, but you can prepare the ricotta and strawberries ahead of time.
