Slow Cooker Lasagna

A comforting, no-fuss slow cooker lasagna that’s as delicious as it is easy to prepare, boasting layers of gooey cheese, savory meat, and rich marinara sauce.

Ingredients

  • Lasagna Noodles
  • Ricotta Cheese
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Marinara Sauce
  • Ground Beef (or Sausage)
  • Italian Seasoning
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook your ground beef (or sausage) until browned, about 7-10 minutes. Drain any excess grease. Add minced garlic and chopped onion, cooking until they’re soft and fragrant—around 3-4 minutes.
  2. Mix Ricotta: In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Layering Time!: Start with a thin layer of marinara sauce at the bottom of your slow cooker. Place lasagna noodles on top. Add half of the ricotta mixture, followed by half of the meat mixture, then spread mozzarella on top. Repeat until you run out of ingredients, finishing with noodles topped with marinara sauce and remaining mozzarella.
  4. Cook It Up: Cover your slow cooker and set it on low for about 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours. During the last 30 minutes, add more mozzarella on top.
  5. Serve and Savor: Once the cook time is complete, let it cool for a few minutes. Slice into squares and serve with a sprinkle of fresh basil or parsley.
