Spiced Plum Jam

A delightful spread made with fresh plums and warm spices, perfect for toast, yogurt, or gifting.

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs Fresh Plums (Pitted)
  • 4 cups Sugar
  • 3 tbsp Pectin
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Prepare the plums by washing them thoroughly, cutting them in half, and removing the pits.
  2. Combine your pitted and chopped plums with sugar, pectin, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large pot.
  3. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it reaches a gentle boil, stirring periodically.
  4. Let it cook at a rolling boil for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Test for consistency by placing a spoonful on a cold plate.
  6. Jar the jam into sterilized jars, leaving about 1/4 inch of space at the top.
  7. Store in the fridge for several weeks or process in a water bath for longer storage.
