French Nectarine Blueberry Galette

A rustic French galette bursting with summer flavors from juicy nectarines and vibrant blueberries, all tucked inside a flaky cream cheese crust.

  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 2 ripe nectarines, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 pre-made cream cheese pastry crust
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon coarse sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the blueberries and sliced nectarines in a bowl with sugar, vanilla, and lemon juice; let sit for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Roll out the cream cheese pastry crust on a floured surface to about 12 inches in diameter.
  4. Assemble the galette by placing the fruit mixture in the center, folding the edges over, and pleating.
  5. Sprinkle coarse sugar over the edges and fruit filling.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the fruit bubbly.
  7. Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
