Ultimate Turkey Chili

A hearty and delicious Turkey Chili, perfect for cool weather and packed with protein.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Turkey
  • 1 can Black Beans, rinsed
  • 1 can Kidney Beans, rinsed
  • 1 can Diced or Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 cup Pumpkin Puree
  • 1 medium Onion, diced
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 4 cups Chicken or Vegetable Broth
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Lime Juice, for serving
  • Greek Yogurt or Sour Cream, for serving
  • Cheese, for serving
  • Cilantro, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add diced onions and minced garlic. Sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Toast for 1 minute.
  4. Add canned tomatoes, beans, and pumpkin puree. Stir to combine.
  5. Pour in broth to cover the mixture, bring to a simmer. Let it cook for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or lime juice before serving.

Notes

Chili often tastes better the next day as the flavors develop. Feel free to experiment with ingredients!
