Viral Ground Beef Hot Honey Bowl

  • 8 pieces Chicken thighs (Bone-in, skin-on)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Smoked paprika (optional)
  • Honey (for the hot honey sauce)
  • Red pepper flakes (for the hot honey sauce)
  • Apple cider vinegar (for the hot honey sauce)
  • Rice or chosen grain (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
  2. Combine garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, rosemary, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Drizzle olive oil over chicken and rub the seasoning mixture all over.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken thighs, skin-side down, for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Flip the chicken, then transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Combine honey, red pepper flakes, and apple cider vinegar in a saucepan while chicken bakes; stir over low heat until hot.
  6. Cook rice or chosen grain as per package instructions.
  7. Assemble the bowl: layer rice, veggies, sliced chicken, and drizzle hot honey sauce on top.

Notes

Serve with extra hot honey on the side for those who like it spicy. Customize with your favorite grains or veggies.
